المملكة: Education: No integration or early departure during Ramadan… and the quota is valid, even if it is for one student

Issued Ministry of Education Binding directives for schools to allocate 5% of class time to implementing interactive activities within the school schedule, while imposing a complete ban on merging classes or allowing students to leave early, as part of a comprehensive indicative plan aimed at ensuring school discipline and the stability of the educational process with high efficiency during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Ministry adopted a precise implementation plan that included four main paths to ensure the effective conduct of the study, which included the educational session, enhancing values and behavior, activating student activities, in addition to the communication path. The league works with the family to unify educational efforts.

I was directed to invest the 5% deducted from school classes, in addition to periods of extra-curricular activities, in implementing specific programs that develop skills and instill values in accordance with approved organizational guides.

Strict adherence to timing

The instructions issued stressed the necessity of strict adherence to the timetable for classes without any reduction, categorically prohibiting the inclusion of students in joint classes or dismissing them before the regular dismissal date, regardless of the number of attendees.

The Ministry obligated Educational staff by following up on the implementation of the curriculum with all its components, pre-planning lessons to focus on basic skills and concepts and explaining the entire educational content without prejudice to educational objectives.

The plan seeks to create an attractive school environment by activating programs that promote positive behavior and meet students’ inclinations, which contributes to raising rates of self-discipline and transforming the school into a stimulating educational incubator during the holy month.

In the context of daily preparation, the Ministry asked teachers to prepare educational tasks that take into account individual differences. It proposes interactive activities that support academic courses and accurately identifies the educational needs of each category of students.

The role of the family

The directives focused on the centrality of the family’s role, obliging schools to send weekly and quarterly plans to parents, including the targeted activities and values, while activating parents’ councils to ensure a real partnership in monitoring achievement.

The Ministry explained that the success of this plan depends on the integration of roles between school committees, mentors, activity leaders, and teachers, to provide an effective study session that establishes discipline and ensures the quality of Educational outcomes.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that this plan comes within its ongoing efforts to organize the educational process during the holy month of Ramadan, and to achieve a balance between the requirements of education and the appropriate educational environment, which will reflect positively on students’ achievement and the stability of the educational field.
