14 Gulf Air engineers undergo an advanced training program on the Airbus A320

14 certified engineers and technicians from Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, passed an advanced training course on Airbus A320 aircraft at the Gulf Aviation Academy, the training arm of the Gulf Air Group.

The two-month training program, held at the Gulf Air Academy building in Bahrain, focused on participants’ familiarity with the theoretical and practical aspects of aircraft maintenance, with a focus on CFM56 and V2500 engines in the B1.1 and B2 categories. .

It included training on aircraft systems structure, engine operation and maintenance, and repair techniques, in addition to learning about advanced methods that contribute to detecting and repairing malfunctions, in order to understand the safety and operations standards of the A320 fleet of Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

At the conclusion of the training program, Gulf Air’s Chief Operating Officer, Captain Qasim Ismail, expressed his pride in the fourteen engineers who successfully completed the program, saying: “This training program comes within the framework of Gulf Air’s keenness to raise the efficiency of its technical team and prepare it for future challenges in the field.” Aeronautical engineering and enhancing operational safety standards, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, and contributes to strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a leading center for technical skills in the region, especially in the field of “Flying.”

The training program is in line with Gulf Air’s strategy for excellence in aircraft maintenance and safety, as it meets the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to ensure that the technical team is fully qualified to exercise certification powers on the A320 aircraft.
