Dubai, December 24, 2025 – Dubai will host the 19th session of the World Congress of Neurosurgery, from 1 to 4 December 2025, making it the first city in the Middle East to host this global medical event.
The conference, which is held every two years, is the most prominent event organized by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), and is held under the slogan “The World of Neurosurgery Forum,” and is expected to attract 4,000 participants from thought leaders, decision makers, innovators, change pioneers and influencers in the field. Neuroscience.
Ahmed Al Khaja, Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, said that the selection of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies in Dubai to host this important conference is evidence of the continuous development of the knowledge economy, which is consistent with the aspirations and vision of its wise leadership.
He added that business events remain an essential pillar for driving development and economic growth, and strengthening key sectors, including health care and medical sciences, pointing out that the event will bring together an elite group of scientists specializing in neuroscience, along with the most prominent businessmen and innovators, which strengthens Dubai’s position as a beacon of scientific innovation. .
Dr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Olama, Head of the Emirates Neurosurgery Division and President of the Gulf Neurosurgical Society, said that the conference will bring together an elite group of the most skilled doctors in neurosurgery from around the world, to exchange ideas and discuss new innovations, and will contribute to strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading destination for specialized medical events.
He added that the Emirate of Dubai received broad support from the public and private sectors during the planning stages and submitting a bid to host this important conference, including the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the Dubai Health Authority, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and Dubai Health.
