The UAE participates in the meeting of the Gulf-Jordanian team in the field of youth

Dubai, December 24 / WAM / The United Arab Emirates participated in the eleventh meeting of the joint working group between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in the field of youth, which was held today in Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar.

The meeting, hosted by the Ministry of Sports and Youth in Qatar, discussed many topics, the most prominent of which was strengthening the gains of the strategic partnership between the two sides in the youth field, a decade after the establishment of the team.

Mr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, who headed the country’s delegation to the meeting, said that participation in the meeting reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting joint efforts to enhance youth work between the GCC countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing the Foundation’s keenness to benefit from mutual experiences and expertise, and to develop Innovative programs and initiatives that serve the aspirations of young people and enable them to lead the future of the region.

He stressed that this meeting represents an important platform to enhance dialogue and continuous coordination in order to achieve common goals, and chart future paths for work within a cohesive system that contributes to giving young people new horizons so that they can have a pivotal role in building the future and prosperity of our countries.

This meeting comes within the framework of the existing strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and in implementation of the Council’s decisions that include emphasizing the importance of the special strategic partnership between the two sides, and implementing the joint action plan in all fields, including the field of youth work.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Nasser Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Youth in the State of Kuwait, Chairman of the current session, and from the Jordanian side, Dr. Hussein Salem Al-Jabour, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and from the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Engineer Abdullah Ali Abdullah.
