A boat explosion at a marina in south Florida killed one person and injured five others, officials said.
The explosion occurred Monday evening at Lauderdale Marina, the Fort Lauderdale Rescue Service reported in a post on social media.

Rescue teams transported five people to local hospitals, three of them with severe physical injuries, officials said.

A sixth person was found dead in the water several hours after the accident, and rescue officials said the cause of the explosion was still unknown.
