Opera stars celebrate Christmas based on the public’s wishes in Alexandria
The Ministry of Culture’s celebrations of Christmas and the New Year continue, as the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Lamia Zayed, will repeat the concert of the stars of the Cairo Opera Troupe, directed by Hazem Roshdy, at eight o’clock in the evening, Thursday, December 26, at the Sayed Darwish Theater “Alexandria Opera” This is based on the desire of the audience.
The program includes selections from international musical works and famous duets that celebrate Christmas and the New Year, including White Christmas, Maria’s Night, The Angels We Hear in the Above, Christmas, The Christmas Tree, and Holy Night. The Christmas Song, Prayer Duet and a Silent Night, 12 Days of Christmas, God Bless You, Dear Gentlemen, Christmas Eve, Let It Snow, Bells Ringing, We wish you a happy birthday and more.
Performance of the band’s stars: Dalia Farouk, Angy Mohsen, Amr Medhat, Mostafa Medhat, Khaled Samir, Laila Ibrahim, Salma El-Gabaly, Ibrahim Nagy, Mina Rafael, Noura Al-Alfi.
It is noteworthy that the Cairo Opera Troupe was officially formed in the year 1964 and is currently supervised by Dr. Dalia Farouk. It has presented many of the most famous international operas, and its repertoire includes more than 32 famous opera novels.
Its members also participated in huge performances on the largest Theaters around the world have succeeded in creating a mass base interested in operatic singing as one of the finest forms of art.
