A passenger plane belonging to the Azerbaijan Airlines company crashed in western Kazakhstan on Wednesday, while it was on a flight from Baku to Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, with 67 people on board, according to the authorities.

Kazakhstan plane accident
The Ministry of Emergencies in Kazakhstan announced that 42 people were likely killed as a result of the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
The Kazakh Emergencies Ministry said that the plane crashed near the city of Aktau in the west of the country.
Also, the Ministry of Transport stated in a statement that “the plane, which was making a flight from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau,” adding that it “belongs to the Azerbaijan Airlines company.”
