“Tenders”: 64.8 million dinars for the rehabilitation of the Ras Abu Jarjour desalination plant

The Tenders and Auctions Board opened the door to submit bids for 13 different tenders, for which 153 bids were submitted, including 4 tenders for the Electricity and Water Authority, where the Authority’s Planning and Studies Department issued a tender for a project to implement the rehabilitation work of the Ras Abu Jarjour reverse osmosis desalination station, and a single bid was submitted for it. The value amounted to 64.8 million dinars. A second tender was launched to obtain the best competitive offers for comprehensive internal and external maintenance work for the water tank. Al-Hadidi building on Hawar Island received 5 bids, the lowest bid amounting to 189 thousand dinars. The Authority also issued a tender to pre-qualify developers for the project of building, owning and operating the Al Hidd Independent Water Production Station, and 7 bids were submitted to it, but the amount of these bids was not announced. In the fourth tender, the Authority issued a tender to pre-qualify developers for the project of building, owning and operating the Sitra Independent Power and Water Production Plant, to which 9 bids were submitted, and the amount of these bids was not announced. In turn, Bapco Refining Company intends to purchase replacement motors for the obsolete high-voltage motors in the oil complex. Low sulfur fuel, and received two bids, the value of the lowest bid amounting to 500 thousand dinars. For its part, the municipality of the Northern Region issued a tender to develop Aali Walkway, It obtained two bids, the value of the lowest bid was 174 thousand dinars. As for the Bahrain Gas Expansion Company, it issued a tender to replace the oily water sewage system in Central Gas Plant No. 2 “Phase – First”, and obtained 4 bids, the value of the lowest bid was 89 thousand dinars. The Ministry of Information issued two tenders, the first was for a rental service for 11 vehicles, and received 7 bids, the value of the lowest bid amounted to 91 thousand dinars, while it wanted In the second tender to provide operators and drivers for the Ministry, it received 4 bids, with the lowest bid amounting to 63 thousand dinars. In turn, the Ministry of Education is looking to provide Microsoft 365 licenses for the Abdullah bin Khalid College of Islamic Studies, and received 5 bids, with the lowest bid amounting to 15 thousand dinars. For its part, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning issued 3 tenders, including a tender for pre-qualification in the work of building residential units. Future Homes received 38 bids, but the value of the bids was not announced. A tender was also issued for pre-qualification in the construction work of future residential units (apartments), for which 35 bids were submitted, but the value of the bids was not announced. In the third tender, the Ministry of Housing announced an invitation to local construction contractors with experience and expertise in infrastructure work to participate in the qualification for future Ministry of Housing projects.
