Japan.. An earthquake measuring 5.7 Richter strikes southeast of Honshu Island
An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck southeast of the Japanese island of Honshu, which includes the capital, Tokyo, at 2102 GMT on Thursday, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ).
The epicenter of the earthquake, which was at a depth of 10 kilometers, was initially determined to be 30.52 degrees north latitude and 142.22 degrees east longitude.
