The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza

Abu Dhabi, December 27 / WAM / The UAE strongly condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation forces’ burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and forcing patients and medical staff to evacuate it.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the UAE’s categorical rejection of this heinous act that violates international humanitarian law, and the systematic and reprehensible destruction of the remaining health system in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry affirmed the UAE’s position calling for an immediate cessation of violence, not targeting civilians and civilian institutions, the importance of civilians enjoying full protection under international humanitarian law and international treaties, and the necessity of not being the target of conflict.

The Ministry expressed its deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which threatens to cause further loss of civilian lives, warning of the catastrophic humanitarian situation that is extremely sensitive and dangerous.

The UAE also called on the international community to make every effort to avoid further inflaming the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, and urged all efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace.
