Kuwait allocates $772 million to strengthen the electrical system

Kuwait, December 28 / WAM / Today, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait signed two maintenance and modernization contracts for electric power and water distillation stations with a total value of approximately 238 million Kuwaiti dinars ($772.61 million).
The Kuwait News Agency quoted a press release from the ministry as saying that the two contracts come as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s electrical system and its sustainability.
The statement explained that the first contract includes performing high-precision and efficient engineering services for a group of gas and steam turbine units involved in generating electrical power, while the second contract includes developing and modernizing steam boilers involved in generating electricity, water distillation and their auxiliary systems in the Doha West Station.
