Qurayyat recorded the lowest temperature in the Kingdom today, Sunday, and according to the National Center of Meteorology’s statement in its weather report, Qurayyat recorded 0 degrees Celsius.
Turaif and Tabuk came in second place, recording 1 degree Celsius each, followed by Sakaka and Arar with 3 degrees Celsius.
Finally, AlUla recorded 5 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather in most areas

This week, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing cold weather in most regions, with noticeably low temperatures recorded, especially in the northern regions.

Temperatures reach between zero and four degrees Celsius, and temperatures are expected to drop below zero Celsius at the end of the week, coinciding with the approaching entry into January, the coldest month.
Weather analyst at the National Center of Meteorology, Aqeel Al-Aqeel, told Al-Youm: The northern regions, which include Tabuk, the northern border, Al-Jawf, the north of the Medina region, and the north of the Hail region, will witness cold weather.

Temperatures are expected to range from zero to four degrees Celsius, with the possibility of falling below zero degrees Celsius by the end of the week.

As for the rest of the Kingdom’s regions, Al-Aqeel indicated that the weather will be cold, especially in the eastern, central and southern regions, while the weather tends to be relatively warm on the western coasts, such as the coasts of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region and the coasts of the Jazan region..
He added that the weather tends to be generally stable during this week in most regions of the Kingdom, with the exception of the appearance of some cloud formations on the southern and western highlands.
