Manama is second in the Gulf in terms of imports and exports with Riyadh

The Kingdom of Bahrain ranked second in the Gulf in terms of the volume of foreign trade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as imports from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia amounted to about 7.7 billion riyals, while total exports reached about 28.5 billion riyals, until the third quarter of 2024.

Statistics issued by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia indicate that the volume of imports in the third quarter of this year amounted to 217.2 billion riyals, and the GCC countries accounted for about 53.4 billion riyals from the first to the third quarter.

While imports from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia amounted to about 7.7 billion riyals until the third quarter, it is the second Gulf country to import to Saudi Arabia, as the UAE ranks first with 34.1 billion riyals.

The volume of imports from Bahrain to the Kingdom amounted to about 2.1 billion riyals in the first quarter, 2.7 billion riyals in the second quarter, and 2.8 billion riyals in the third quarter.

While the volume of exports between the two countries amounted to about 28.5 billion riyals until the third quarter, as the numbers in the first quarter were 8.4 billion riyals, in the second quarter it was 12.1 billion riyals, and the third quarter recorded 7.9 billion riyals.

Bahrain was the second Gulf country in terms of export volume after the UAE, whose export value amounted to about 57 billion riyals until the third quarter.

While the volume of exports between Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries amounted to about 111.2 billion riyals, 33.6 billion riyals in the first quarter, 39.2 billion riyals in the second quarter, and 38.3 billion riyals in the third quarter.

The United Arab Emirates is the largest Gulf country in terms of foreign trade with Saudi Arabia, especially in exports, which reached 15 billion riyals in the first quarter, 19.4 billion riyals in the second quarter, and 22.8 billion riyals in the third quarter, with a total value of 57 billion riyals.
