China launches the world’s fastest train

China unveiled the world’s fastest train (CR450), with a maximum speed of 450 kilometers per hour.

The China National Railway Group announced in a statement that it had launched the first model of the bullet train (CR450) in the capital, Beijing, noting that it is the international leader in terms of key indicators such as operating speed, energy saving, noise level and braking distance.

China Central Television (CCTV) quoted the statement as saying that the test speed of the train was 450 kilometers per hour, and its speed during commercial operation in the future would be 400 kilometers per hour, compared to 350 kilometers per hour, which is the speed of current high-speed trains.

It is noteworthy that China has the largest railway network in the world, with a length of 162 thousand kilometers, while the length of high-speed railways has reached 47 thousand kilometers, which represents about 70% of the total length of these railways in the world, according to the New China News Agency.
