The first health investment forum in Jazan discusses challenges and promising opportunities

Yesterday evening, the activities of the “First Health Investment Forum”, organized by the branch of the Ministry of Health in the Jazan region, were launched under the slogan “Invest in Health: Empowerment, Growth, Sustainability”, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Investment Development, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Institutional Excellence, Engineer Khaled. Al Tala’i, and a number of investors from inside and outside the region, in the city of Jizan.

During his speech, Dr. Al-Omar stressed the importance of the forum in empowering the private sector and enhancing its role as an integrated partner with the government sector, and the Ministry’s work to provide everything that stimulates investment and open direct channels of communication with investors to address challenges and facilitate procedures, noting that the Jazan region witnessed an increase in health sector licenses. The special rate is 16% for the current year 2024, which reflects the Ministry’s interest in stimulating investment in the region.

For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Jazan, Dr. Awaji Al-Naami, stated that this forum comes within the Ministry of Health’s efforts to enhance investment in the health sector and develop health services in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the health transformation program. It also aims to discuss investment challenges and review promising opportunities to strengthen the sector. Health, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life.

The forum included dialogue sessions and workshops in which a number of experts and specialists participated, where investment opportunities and initiatives supporting the achievement of sustainable health development were reviewed. The sessions also addressed the most prominent challenges facing health investment in the region, enhancing integration between the government and private sectors, and benefiting from the investment opportunities available in Jazan. In a way that contributes to developing health services and achieving the goals of the health transformation program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
