The first round of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship begins next January

Abu Dhabi, December 30 / WAM / The Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced the start of the new season’s competitions with the first round of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship in its second edition, during the period from January 17 to 19 next at the Mubadala Arena, in Zayed Sports City.
Registration has been opened to participate in this round of the tournament, which includes competitions for the categories of buds, juniors, youth, adults and masters.
The first edition of the tournament, which included 5 rounds, two for the “without suit” category and three for the “suit” category, in various emirates of the country, witnessed remarkable success and unprecedented turnout, and attracted the participation of more than 10,000 male and female players from various clubs and academies in the country.

In its first edition, the tournament provided a unique platform for players to test their abilities and hone their skills within a competitive environment comparable to the strongest international tournaments. It also highlighted new and distinguished talents and gave them an opportunity to compete and shine.

The tournament represented an incentive that made clubs and academies keen to field a large number of their players to score the largest number of points, ensure excellence, win medals and cash prizes, and obtain the honor of obtaining the title of the first edition of the tournament.
His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation, said: “We are proud of the great success achieved by the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and its contribution to enhancing the presence of the sport of Jiu-Jitsu locally and internationally, and continuing to develop and refine national talents, not to mention its contribution to providing the national team with distinguished, capable talents.” To raise the state’s flag in various continental and international forums.
He continued that in the last edition, male and female players presented distinguished levels and demonstrated high skills and a strong competitive spirit, which revealed the extent of their commitment to developing their abilities and their eagerness to achieve achievements.

The tournament succeeded in achieving its goals of providing a platform for discovering and developing talent, and spreading the culture of jiu-jitsu as a sport that promotes the values ​​of discipline, patience, endurance and courage.

The tournament has become a source of inspiration for young people and a platform to highlight talent, create champions, and enhance the country’s position as a leading destination in spreading and developing the sport of jiu-jitsu.
