المملكة: 11 people were arrested and the smuggling of 659 kilograms of drugs was thwarted

Security regiment patrols in the Jazan region foiled the smuggling of 230 kilograms of the narcotic qat plant in Al-Da’ir Governorate, and it was handed over to the competent authority.
The General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested (3) citizens and a displaced person in the Riyadh region for selling (54) kilograms of narcotic cannabis and (3,357) pills subject to medical circulation regulation. They were arrested, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.
Also, the ground patrols of the border guards in the Al-Raboua sector in the Asir region arrested (8) violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality, for smuggling (375) kilograms of the qat plant. The initial regular procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.
The security authorities are called upon to report all information available to citizens and residents about any activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion, by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and the General Directorate’s reports number.
