Argentine prosecutors charge 5 people in the death of singer Liam Payne

The Argentine judiciary charged five people in the case of the death of British singer Liam Payne after he fell from the balcony of his hotel room in October, and ordered two of them to be held in pretrial detention, the Public Prosecution said Monday.
Eyewitnesses at the hotel where he was staying in Buenos Aires said that Liam fell from his room on the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, and they do not know whether this was intentional or accidental.

The prosecution said in a statement, “Three of the defendants were charged with manslaughter without being held in pretrial detention, while two others were charged with supplying drugs and held in pretrial detention.”
Liam is a former member of the One Direction team and had previously announced the reunion of his members on the team’s anniversary. Liam Payne revealed in statements to The Sun newspaper before his departure that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan would participate in the reunion plans, while Zayn Malik preferred to be absent.
The “One Direction” team began through the famous “X Factor” talent discovery program in 2010, until it has now become one of the most famous singing groups in the world, but the team disbanded in 2016.
