The death of artist and director Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, an icon of Kuwaiti theatre

Abdulaziz Al-Haddad was born in Kuwait in 1950 into a family that loved art. He began his artistic journey early, as he participated for the first time in the play “Her Luck Breaks the Rock” in 1963 when he was thirteen years old, which was his starting point towards the world of fame and artistic creativity.
His artistic career
He began his artistic career in the early sixties of the last century, where he participated in the play “Her Luck Breaks the Rock,” and continued his career by participating in many theatrical, dramatic, and cinematic works that varied between acting, directing, and writing.
One of his most prominent theatrical works is the play “Bakhour Umm Jassim,” in addition to many series and films in which he played a prominent role.
He also wrote many literary novels, and his latest literary work was a novel entitled “Ghair Series.”

The artist Hossam Dagher said through his personal account on Instagram: “The death of my friend and beloved, the distinguished Kuwaiti actor Abdulaziz Al-Haddad. We spent the best days filming the Jabriya series, Flight 422, with Shahid in London two years ago. I grew up on his works when I was young. How much I loved him as an actor, poet, writer, and author. He has many literary works besides… His work is in acting and directing.
Meanwhile, Wael Abdulaziz said on Facebook: “My friend, the Kuwaiti artist and director Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, has passed away, may God have mercy on him. He was a beautiful, sophisticated person and a creative artist. May God have mercy on him and forgive him and grant him a spacious paradise.”
His artistic career extended for several decades, as Al-Haddad presented many works that made him one of the most prominent artists in Kuwait and the Arab world. He participated in a large number of television series, cinematic films, and plays, and he maintained his artistic status thanks to his talent that put him at the forefront of the artistic scene, leaving his passing sad.
