Oil prices closed today at their highest levels… and the rise continues

Oil prices continued their gains today, after closing at their highest levels in more than two months in the previous session, with hopes that governments around the world will increase policy support to stimulate economic growth that raises demand for fuel.

Brent and West Texas crude futures rise

Futures rose 16 cents, or 0.2%, to $76.09 per barrel, after closing yesterday at their highest levels since October 25.
The US median reached $73.32 per barrel, up 19 cents, or 0.3%. Thursday’s close was the highest for US crude since October 14.
