المملكة: Jeddah Astronomy reveals the truth about burning objects in the sky of Jizan

The head of the Astronomical Society in Jeddah, Engineer Majid Abu Zahra, explained that the appearance of what look like burning objects in the sky of the city of Jizan in the south of the Kingdom is explained, based on the video clip and previous cases, as most likely debris from a Chinese space missile that disintegrated during its entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.
News websites reported video clips of what looked like burning objects appearing in the sky of the city of Jizan in the south of the Kingdom on Thursday evening, January 2.

Abu Zahra stated that when the missile completes its mission, it eventually runs out of fuel, loses altitude, and enters the densest part of the Earth’s atmosphere, causing friction with the air to heat it and burn.

He explained that the intense heat resulting from friction causes the metal and other materials in the missile to ignite and burn, leading to the appearance of the bright lines that appear in the video.
China has a history of launching space rockets, some of which have seen them return to the Earth’s atmosphere in an uncontrolled manner, which means that the place and time of their fall have not been determined specifically.
