Trump attacks Britain and calls on it to dismantle wind turbines in the North Sea
US President-elect Donald Trump on Friday called on the United Kingdom to dismantle wind turbines in the North Sea.
This came in response to a US company’s decision to withdraw from the oil-rich region.

Apache Oil Company
“The UK is making a huge mistake. Open the North Sea. Get rid of the windmills,” Trump posted on his online platform, Truth Social.
The post included a link to Scotland’s Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, which in early November published details of Apache Oil’s decision to exit the North Sea.
British taxes on oil operations
Apache said the unexpected tax imposed by the United Kingdom on oil operations made the operation “uneconomical.”
During his election campaign, Trump, a staunch supporter of fossil fuels, also criticized Germany for its pursuit of renewable forms of energy.
He predicted that if it continues to go ahead with those policies, it will declare bankruptcy soon.
