The UAE calls for a political process that leads to a government led by civilians in Sudan

The UAE called on the international community to unify efforts to support a credible political process that leads to a government led by civilians, independent of the army, and ultimately leads to the establishment of permanent peace and stability of the brotherly Sudanese people.

This came in the statement of the permanent mission of the United Nations to the United Nations on Sudan, after the final report of the United Nations team concerned with Sudan, which did not provide any support for the false allegations that the Sudanese armed forces against the UAE and did not include any conclusions against the state.

The following is the text of the statement issued by the permanent delegate to the United Nations to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohamed Abu Shahab: “The Security Council issued the final report of the United Nations Experts team on Sudan, which highlights the large -scale violations committed by both warring parties against the brotherly Sudanese people, including random air strikes and attacks on civilians, and crimes of sexual violence associated with the conflict, as well as the use of arrival prevention Humanitarian aid as a weapon.

It is unfortunate that one of the warring parties, the Sudanese armed forces, has been facing unfounded accusations against my country, in order to pay the international attention from the atrocities it committed, including the use of chemical weapons.

This report does not provide any support for the false allegations that the Sudanese Armed Forces against the UAE, and does not include any conclusions against the state. The UAE renews its call to the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to end this civil war, without preconditions.

And engaging in peace talks, facilitating the arrival of humanitarian aid, which saves life, to all parts of Sudan. Also, the international community must unify its efforts to support a credible political process, which leads to a government led by civilians, independent of the army, and ultimately leads to the establishment of permanent peace and stability of the brotherly Sudanese people.
