المملكة: 26 competitions.. The Kingdom’s talented people will win 119 international awards during 2024
The total amount won by the Kingdom from these competitions rises to 854 international awards, and the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity “Creativity 2025” achieved a new and unprecedented record at the local level.
Saudi teams participating in the Olympics
The number of students registered in the Olympiad reached 291,057 male and female students from 16 educational districts and 47 educational departments, who participated in scientific projects.
The report stated that the number of gifted students discovered by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” during the year 2024 reached 28,265, in addition to more than 100,000 male and female students covered by the Foundation under its care.
37,720 male and female students participated in the Mawhib Competition, while the number of participants in the Kangaroo Mawhibah Mathematics Competition reached 42,702, and 47,591 male and female students participated in the Bibras Mawhibah Informatics Competition, an increase of more than 30% over last year.
National Olympiad of Programming and Artificial Intelligence
The number of participants in the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence “Smarter” reached 260,308 male and female students, and the year 2024 witnessed the Kingdom hosting an international scientific Olympiad for the first time in its history.
“Mawhiba”, in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and King Saud University, and with exclusive sponsorship from the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), organized the competitions of the 56th edition of the International Chemistry Olympiad 2024, with the participation of 333 talented men and women from 90 countries, and under the supervision of 260 international specialists in the field of chemistry.
This year, the Foundation participated in five international Olympiads for the first time, represented in the International Olympiad for Nuclear Sciences, the International Ibn Sina Olympiad for Biology, the International Olympiad for Astronomy and Space, the International Olympiad for Standardization, and the International Olympiad for Artificial Intelligence.
This is in addition to the previous 19 Olympiads with their various specializations, including mathematics, physics, informatics, chemistry, science, and biology.
The Third World Conference on Giftedness and Creativity
Mawhiba organized the Third World Conference on Giftedness and Creativity, which brought together an elite group of experts and talented people in the fields of science, technology and innovation, entitled “Creative Minds Without Borders.”
More than 300 talented, local and international speakers from more than 50 countries participated in the conference, which was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – and its activities were opened on his behalf by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region. .
The conference aimed to demonstrate the potential of gifted people, develop a comprehensive and integrated care system for the gifted, enhance integration and strategic partnerships, and improve and enhance opportunities for international exchange and cooperation.
9 qualifying and training forums
In order to achieve global excellence, the “Mawhiba” Foundation implemented 9 qualifying and training forums in all specializations for students who were nominated to represent the Kingdom in international competitions for periods ranging from 10 to 90 days, at the hands of an elite group of local and international trainers.
Mawhiba also implemented many summer enrichment programs for the year 2024, for about 13,000 gifted men and women, in 16 cities and governorates. It was also held remotely to serve all students in the Kingdom, for periods ranging from 3 to 4 weeks in 4 advanced tracks, to develop their abilities and skills.
It provided them with appropriate support to develop and refine them, and choose what suits their talents and future ambitions, in cooperation with a number of universities, research centers and education departments.
Talented Arabs Initiative
In the third edition of the “Talented Arabs” initiative, which was organized by “Mawhiba” in Riyadh, in partnership with the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), with the aim of investing in talented and creative young Arab energies, and empowering them to lead change and shape the future.
807 male and female students from 16 Arab countries took the Arab Talented Scale, and 550 male and female students were discovered, 431 of whom were hosted by Mawhiba as part of its summer enrichment programs for the year 2024.
At the beginning of the current academic year, more than 8,000 male and female students began attending the “Mawhiba Classes” program, which the Foundation implements in partnership with 155 distinguished schools.
Mawhiba Advanced Science and Mathematics Program
The Mawhiba Advanced Science and Mathematics Program also accommodated more than 2,000 male and female students in more than 100 cities and governorates around the Kingdom.
This aims to develop the capabilities of gifted students and provide them with opportunities to achieve excellence in the fields of science and mathematics, through specialized educational programs and a stimulating learning environment.
“Mawhiba” signed an agreement, “Mawhiba Oasis and UNESCO for Distance STEM Education,” with UNESCO, at the organization’s headquarters, to enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education for students in Arab countries, so that this partnership represents a pivotal moment in the advancement of innovation, creativity, and scientific excellence in the Arab region.

25 agreements and memorandums of cooperation and understanding
At the local level, the Mawhiba Foundation signed 25 new agreements and memorandums of cooperation and understanding that are consistent with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in discovering, nurturing, supporting and empowering talented people, promoting education and innovation, and building capabilities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and other fields that support sustainable development.
“Mawhiba” succeeded in empowering more than 1,176 members in more than 25 governmental and private entities during 2024, and in the same period, more than 2,000 new members joined the association, bringing the total number of its members to 35,000 members.
Mawhiba received 4 international ISO certificates during the year 2024, including quality management, environment, risk management, and occupational health and safety, which reflects its deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and the safety of its employees, and its ability to provide distinguished and effective services to its customers.
Mawhiba 2030 strategy
The year 2024 witnessed the launch of the “Mawhiba Strategy 2030”, and coinciding with the 25th anniversary of its founding, “Mawhiba” launched its new corporate identity.
It also launched the Meta Minds (M3) talent platform, which is a global platform designed to connect, support and empower talented individuals in academic environments or business sectors.
This is in addition to the launch of the new Mawhiba website, through which the organization continues to provide its services to all its beneficiaries, including gifted people, parents, and stakeholders.

The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” is a non-profit endowment institution that aims to discover and nurture gifted students at the local, regional and international levels.
