Sultanate of Oman: More than 8.5 billion riyals in value added to private enterprises during the third quarter

The total added value of private institutions operating in the Sultanate of Oman during the third quarter of 2024 amounted to about 8 billion and 511 million and 900 thousand Omani riyals.
Preliminary statistics issued by the Omani National Center for Statistics and Information showed that the contribution of actually operating institutions to the gross domestic product at current prices during the third quarter of 2024 AD amounted to about 82 percent, compared to 81.4 percent for the third quarter of 2023 AD.
The added value of large institutions at the end of the third quarter of this year, according to the Oman News Agency, amounted to 6 billion and 279 million Omani riyals, or 60.5 percent, an increase of 4.3 percent, compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
The added value of medium enterprises amounted to 665 million and 800 thousand Omani riyals, or 6.4 percent, an increase of 3 percent, while the added value of small enterprises amounted to 716 million Omani riyals, or 6.9 percent, an increase of 3.2 percent.
The number of workers in private establishments operating in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 0.6 percent at the end of the third quarter of this year, recording one million, 804,547 workers, compared to one million, 792,932 workers at the end of the third quarter of 2023 AD, while the number of establishments reached 260,780 establishments for the quarter. The third of the year 2024 AD, an increase of 12.1 percent, compared to the same period of the year 2023 AD.
