المملكة: Northern borders.. The Red Crescent raises the level of preparedness due to the rain

The branch of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the northern border region raised the level of readiness in the command and control room and the ambulance teams working in the field, with the possibility of calling additional ambulance teams.
This comes due to the expected weather fluctuations in the northern border region.

Adherence to civil defense instructions

The Red Crescent called on citizens and residents to adhere to civil defense instructions, take the necessary measures to prevent risks that may result from heavy rains and floods, and adhere to traffic safety rules.
This includes not speeding while driving to avoid slipping, and staying away from areas where water accumulates.

Director of the authority’s branch in the region, Musaed Al-Anzi, explained that the operating room receives calls from those requesting emergency services on the number 997, and the Help Me application, 24 hours a day.

Meteorological safety guidelines

The National Center of Meteorology advised avoiding areas prone to floods in the event of rain.
This came in the advice given by the National Center of Meteorology through its account on the X application, for safety during rainfall and the occurrence of torrents, floods, and lightning.
The Meteorology Department wrote: Given the fluctuations witnessed in some regions of the Kingdom:
– Avoid areas exposed to floods in the event of rain.
– When lightning strikes, stay away from exposed areas and do not use mobile devices.
-Stay home for your safety, and monitor the weather conditions.
