32% increase in sustainability assessment projects

“Sustainable Construction” recorded a growth in the projects benefiting from the “” service during 2024 compared to last year, as the number reached 75 projects with a total area of ​​approximately 47 million square meters, recording an increase of 32% over 2023.
He revealed that 11 projects obtained a design conformity document, recording a growth of 19% compared to 2023, and the projects were distributed in (Riyadh, Medina, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Dhahran, and Taif).

23 thousand quality inspection reports

During 2024, “Sustainable Construction” issued more than 23,000 quality inspection reports, which is a service that enables the beneficiary who is about to buy or rent a real estate unit, to verify the quality and safety of the building, or construction operations through an inspection mechanism by certified examiners, for prefabricated buildings, or For buildings under construction.
“Sustainable Construction” stated that during the second half of last year, the expert service was provided; It is a service that is provided in integration with the Ejar platform, where the expert is requested to evaluate the rental unit before and after renting and evaluate the damages, in the event that the two parties disagree about the damage estimate.

Sustainability assessment

“Sustainability Evaluation” is considered the first Saudi evaluation system developed in accordance with international best practices consistent with the Saudi Building Code. The system also enables the property owner and real estate developer to measure the sustainability of new and existing buildings and communities.
This comes by following environmental standards to increase the efficiency of energy and water consumption, improving the quality of life by providing parks and basic facilities, and providing safe paths for bicycles and pedestrians.
It is noteworthy that the sustainability assessment system – which has received international fellowship from the World Green Building Council and is listed among the global sustainability systems approved by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Index (GRISSB) – is concerned with assessing the sustainability of projects at all stages of development.
Based on the number of points met from the sustainability criteria; Residential and commercial buildings and communities are evaluated for the design and construction or operation and maintenance stages, and projects are classified into five levels, starting from the green level and reaching the diamond level.
