المملكة: 40 producers display their success stories at “Reef Ghee and Honey Village” in Riyadh

The Secretary-General of the “Saudi Countryside” program, Ghassan Bakri, opened the “Ghee and Honey Countryside Village” event at the headquarters of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Riyadh, which will last for five days.
The event aims to highlight the beauty of the Saudi countryside and its abundant natural and cultural elements, while highlighting the role of rural tourism in promoting sustainable development.

The event witnessed a remarkable presence of visitors from different age groups, who interacted with the contents of the pavilions set up by 40 beneficiaries of the “Reef” program from all over the Kingdom.
These beneficiaries participate in displaying ghee and honey products, introducing visitors to their inspiring success stories in rural villages, highlighting the efforts made to develop these areas to achieve integration between the rural economy and tourism.

Food security and sustainable development

The ghee and honey sectors are among the basic pillars of achieving food security and sustainable development within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as the Kingdom seeks to benefit from its natural resources and cultural heritage to strengthen the national economy and empower rural communities.
The “Reef Ghee and Honey Village” event receives visitors in two periods: the morning period from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, and the evening period from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
