Khorfakkan Marine Festival attracts more than 70,000 visitors

Sharjah, January 6 / WAM / Yesterday evening, the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club concluded the activities of the Khor Fakkan Marine Festival in its second edition, which was held over ten continuous days from December 27 until January 5, and attracted 70,420 visitors who enjoyed a distinctive atmosphere that combined maritime heritage. Enjoyment and fun, preserving national identity, enhancing the strategy for preserving Emirati heritage, and learning about customs and traditions related to the sea.

More than 40 government and private entities participated in the festival, presenting a variety of cultural, heritage and entertainment events, making it an ideal platform for interaction through live performances that expressed the fragrant history and maritime heritage, in addition to musical performances, workshops, and distinctive cultural and entertainment exhibitions for all visitors.

At the closing ceremony of the festival, His Excellency Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, honored the government and private entities sponsoring, supporting and participating in the event, in appreciation of their efforts and contributions in supporting its activities.
