His Highness also inspected the readiness of the Al-Ruwaidat Cemetery, which was built next to the mosque..

His Highness was received upon his arrival at the mosque site by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Salem bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Advisor in the Office of His Highness the Ruler, Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Sharjah, and a number of Sheikhs, senior officials, heads and directors of government departments.

At the beginning of his tour, His Highness stopped at the funeral council building, looking at the two halls that the council includes, which can accommodate 60 people, and highlighted the most prominent services provided to the mourners at the time of burying the deceased and when receiving condolences..

His Highness then inspected the readiness of the Al-Ruwaidat Cemetery, which was allocated to bury the deceased next to the Mosque of Mrs. Khadija, may God be pleased with her, with a large area of ​​639,931 square meters and includes asphalt roads and prepared parking lots, in addition to the integrated services accompanying the mosque and the cemetery..

His Highness listened to an explanation about the arrangement of the cemetery, its most prominent facilities, and the foundations that were arranged and organized to facilitate the process of burying the deceased and access to all areas of the cemetery easily and conveniently, in a way that eases the burden on the families of the deceased and the mourners..

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah visited the building for washing the dead, which was designed in a distinctive way and with high specifications that facilitate the process of washing the dead and take into account his sanctity. It includes two washbasins, one for men and the other for women, equipped with modern washing systems without extravagance, while facilitating the process of shrouding and transporting the deceased. It also includes two separate waiting rooms. For men and women.

After that, His Highness unveiled the memorial plaque marking the opening of the Lady Khadija Mosque, may God be pleased with her, which was built according to the Fatimid Islamic architectural style mixed with the modern character, and was built on a total land area of ​​49,383 square meters..

The mosque’s internal prayer hall can accommodate 1,400 men, while the outer hallway can accommodate 1,325 worshipers, while the women’s prayer hall has a capacity of 140 worshipers..

The mosque also includes a group of service facilities, including a library, a building for washing the dead, a water supply, ablution places, toilets, 592 parking spaces, and housing for the imam and another for the muezzin..

The mosque is distinguished by its architectural design, as it has a main circular dome in the middle with a diameter of 10 meters, two small domes with a diameter of 4.5 meters, and above it are two minarets with a height of 40 meters. Its construction took into account the use of the best modern standards that contribute to preserving the environment, as it works with modern systems to rationalize energy and water consumption..

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the audience listened to a religious sermon presented by Dr. Salem Al Dubi, which addressed the virtue of building mosques, their light, and the importance of caring for them, which brings great reward and rewards to good people and worshipers whose hearts are attached to the houses of God, which are the most beloved places to him, based on the saying of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, “The most beloved country to God is its mosques.”

Al Doubi also appreciated the efforts of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in providing all means to reach mosques and spread them, and to obey God Almighty with high spirituality and reassurance, stressing the necessity of praising God for His bounty and abundant blessings..

After raising the call to prayer for the Maghrib prayer, His Highness and the worshipers performed the Maghrib prayer together in the mosque of Sayyida Khadija, may God be pleased with her..
