59 commercial mediation cases received by the Ajman Chamber during 2024

AJMAN, 8th January, 2018 (WAM) – Hindi Obaid Al Matroushi, Secretary General of the Ajman Arbitration Centre, Director of the Legal Affairs Department on assignment at the Ajman Chamber, affirmed the Chamber’s keenness to enhance its legal services to the business community, by providing innovative and high-quality solutions that contribute to raising legal awareness and meeting… The aspirations of private sector establishments by providing effective legal solutions that keep pace with the needs of members.

He said that the commercial mediation service received 59 cases during the year 2024, and action was taken in 91% of them, which reflects the effectiveness of the solutions provided to settle disputes. He pointed out that the Legal Affairs Department completed 106 requests within the contracts and legislation service during the same period, and that the number of commercial arbitration cases reached 14 cases in which action was taken in more than 60%.

Al Matrooshi explained that the Ajman Chamber is constantly seeking to enhance legal awareness among the business community, by organizing a series of specialized legal seminars in cooperation with the Chamber’s partners from government agencies concerned with legal affairs, noting that the Chamber organized during the year 2024 a corporate tax symposium and a value tax symposium. Added, and a seminar on the implementation of arbitration awards within the framework of the World Trade Organization.
