The Jiu-Jitsu team will participate in 9 regional, continental and world championships in 2025

Abu Dhabi, 8 January / WAM / The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation announced today the agenda of the national team’s participation, sponsored by “Mubadala Investment Company,” in regional, continental and global championships during the year 2025.
The team’s participation list includes 9 tournaments, extending from February to November, and varying between regional, continental and international tournaments for different age groups.

On the continental level, the team will begin its participation with the Asian Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which will be held in Thailand from February 13 to 15, and includes the age groups under 14, 16 and 18 years. It will also participate in the Ninth Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship for the adult and under 21 categories in Jordan from May 23 to 25. 2025, as the UAE champions look to maintain their continental supremacy.

On July 24 and 25, the team will participate in the West Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which will be held in Bahrain and includes the under-14, 16, 18, and 21-year-old categories in addition to the adult category, in addition to its participation in the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain from October 22 to 31, which includes the under-18 category. .

The team is also preparing for its international participation in the Paris Grand Prix Jiu-Jitsu Championship for adults in France on April 26 and 27, and the Grand Prix Adult Championship in Thailand from June 19 to 21, 2025.
Grand Prix tournaments are considered prominent events at the international level, as they play an important role in raising the team’s ranking globally and improving its position in the draw for the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. These tournaments are distinguished by special importance, as they are not only limited to enhancing the team’s ranking, but are also an ideal platform for testing talents. New and prepared for major competitions.

In terms of global championships, the Chengdu 2025 World Games, which will be held in China from August 10 to 12, will be another prominent stop for the adult category, as the team looks forward to repeating its achievement in the last tournament, which was held in Birmingham, in the state of Alabama, in the United States of America in the year. 2022, and at that time he succeeded in achieving 5 colorful medals, including two historic gold medals. It will be followed by the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Thailand from November 1 to 15, covering all age groups (under 14, 16 and 18 years, in addition to under 21 and adults), and finally, the agenda concludes with the Islamic Solidarity Tournament hosted by Saudi Arabia on November 17 and 18.
