The Arab Parliament condemns Israel’s publication of maps that include Arab lands

Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, condemned what was published by official accounts of the Israeli government of maps covering the Palestinian and Arab territories, in conjunction with the inflammatory calls of the Israeli Minister of Finance to annex the West Bank and establish settlements in the Gaza Strip, stressing his categorical rejection of such calls that aim to deny the rights of the Palestinian people. And preventing him from establishing his independent Palestinian state.

Al-Yamahi added, in a statement issued today, that these provocative practices practiced by the Israeli occupation constitute a blatant violation and flagrant violation of all resolutions of international legitimacy, international law, and international humanitarian law, and require a firm international stance to stop them.

The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community, the countries of the free world, and international and regional parliaments, to assume their moral and legal responsibilities and work to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its false claims and the practices and violations it carries out that represent a threat to security and stability in the region and a violation of peoples’ rights, lands, and national sovereignty.

He called for the necessity of working to stop the war of genocide that has been practiced against the Palestinian people for 15 months, and to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
