The rise of the Dow Jones…the position of the American stock indices at the close
Major US stock indices closed mixed at the end of trading on Wednesday.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index ended trading up 8.49 points, reaching 5,917.52 points.
The industrial sector also rose 93.75 points, recording 42,622.11 points at close.
On the other hand, the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 10.96 points, ending trading at 19,478.72 points.
