Emirates Global Aluminum attracts 113 Emirati women during 2024

Emirates Global Aluminium, the largest industrial company in the UAE outside the oil and gas sector, announced that it will attract 113 Emirati women during the year 2024, representing more than half of the number of Emirati citizens employed during the year, whose total number reached 220 employees.

The company stated in a statement that it aims to increase the percentage of women in supervisory positions to 25% by the end of the year 2020, and the percentage of women in all company positions to 15% by the year 2026, revealing that the percentage of women in supervisory positions currently stands at 23.3%, and in all Positions: 9.6%.

Emirates Global Aluminum revealed that its Emiratization rate reached 44.3% at the end of 2024, noting that it is one of the highest Emiratization rates compared to any major industrial company, given the number of operational jobs.

It stated that it aims to employ about 600 male and female citizens in order to increase Emiratization rates to reach 50% by the end of 2027.

According to the company, in 2024, 144 new employees, including 65 women, joined the national training programs organized by Emirates Global Aluminum to prepare high school graduates to assume technical and administrative positions in the company.

She stated that the majority of university graduates who participated in the long-term graduate training program organized by Emirates Global Aluminum in 2024 were women, while graduates undergo training courses over a period of 18 or 24 months, in order to prepare them to assume supervisory positions or industrial operations. In the company.

According to the company, the training program includes working in front-line operational positions that the trainees will supervise after the end of the program.

The CEO of Emirates Global Aluminum, Abdul Nasser bin Kalban, said: “We are proud that more than 71% of Emirati employees in 2024 will join the company’s operational positions, which confirms our firm commitment towards achieving the national strategy for advanced industry and technology, the 300 billion project.”

He added: “Our ambitious goals reflect Emirates Global Aluminum’s pioneering role in developing national talent and innovation in the industrial sector in order to enhance our contribution to the development of the national economy. We are now looking forward to reaching the Emiratization rate of 50% in 2027.”

Emirates Global Aluminum confirmed that it participated in 14 recruitment campaigns during the year 2024, including major exhibitions and the company’s own recruitment campaigns, such as the campaigns held throughout the Emirates, in cooperation with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. The Department of Government Empowerment, the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Fujairah, and the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.

Emirates Global Aluminum noted that its team includes more than 1,300 male and female citizens, and more than half of them are under 35 years of age.

Emirates Global Aluminum has employed 220 male and female citizens during the year 2024.

The company aims to employ about 600 male and female citizens to increase Emiratisation rates to 50% by the end of 2027.
