American actor and director, Kevin Williamson, announced the start of filming the movie “Scream 7”, as he published a special blog post about this matter, via his Instagram account, after work finished that day.

Kevin said in the post, which he accompanied with a picture of “Clackett”, one of the scenes: “I am not supposed to publish anything about the movie (Scream), and I hope that the production companies: (Spaceglass Media) and (Paramount Pictures) will forgive me.”

The director added: When you have one of the best days of your life, it is really difficult to keep it to yourself, noting that the first day of filming was exceptional, and he spent it working with an amazing and talented crew, stressing that they gave their best and supported him in every step of the way. Although the film faced many obstacles at the beginning, such as some of the stars withdrawing from it, Williamson confirmed – during his blog post – that he overcame the obstacles, and that the film is on the right path. As for the story of the film, it will carry many surprises and challenges, as its heroes will face a new killer wearing the famous “Ghostface” mask, while the events will take place in an atmosphere full of suspense and horror, as this unknown killer targets familiar characters from the previous parts, and new ones, which puts everyone in danger. .

Actress Courteney Cox is scheduled to reprise her role as “Jill Weathers”, and Neve Campbell as “Sydney Prescott”, to confront the mysterious killer.

Other actors include: Mason Gooding and Chad Meeks-Martin. Newcomer Isabel May will play Sydney’s daughter, with Celeste O’Connor, Asa German, McKenna Grace, Sam Richner, and Anna Camp also in new, undisclosed roles.

Absent from this part were Jenna Ortega, who played the role of “Tara Carpenter,” and Melissa Barrera as “Sam Carpenter,” who withdrew for professional reasons.

It is noteworthy that Williamson is the screenwriter of the horror film series “Scream”, which he began in 1996 and was directed by Craven. The late director took on the task of directing the first four films of the famous series, and Williamson wrote three of them.

“Scream 7” is the first film in the series directed by the screenwriter, and his first directorial experience since his first appearance in 1999, in the film “Teaching Mrs. Tingle.”
