92 companies compete for 18 tenders, the largest number since the beginning of the year

Yesterday, 92 companies competed for 18 tenders, which were opened by the Tenders and Bidding Board in the largest number of tenders since the beginning of 2025, the most prominent of which was a tender for the Ministry of Works to provide engineering consulting services for the design work of the rainwater drainage network, and the construction of a seawater desalination plant on Hawar Island, affiliated with the Electricity and Water Authority.
The Ministry of Public Works also received 3 tenders, the first for replacing the central air coolers in the Public Prosecution building in the Diplomatic Area, to which 3 companies applied, with the lowest bid amounting to 375 thousand dinars, and the second for maintenance work on the central medical warehouses in the Salmaniya Medical Complex, to which 5 companies applied, with the lowest bid amounting to 34 thousand dinars, and the third requested the provision of engineering consulting services for the work of designing a rainwater drainage network, and 6 companies competed for it, and the lowest bid was 214 thousand. The Council opened 4 tenders to the Electricity and Water Authority, where the Planning and Studies Department requested a company to build a new seawater desalination plant with reverse osmosis on Hawar Island. Only one company submitted the tender for more than 54 million dinars.
The Authority’s Central Warehouse Department also requested the supply of electrical equipment, and 3 companies competed, with the lowest bidding being 12,900 dinars. The administration also requested the supply of “Module” electrical units, and 4 companies applied for it, one of which was frozen, while the lowest bid was 19,000 dinars, and in the fourth tender for the same department. It requested the supply of electrical connectors, and 7 companies competed, the lowest bid among which was 27 thousand dinars.
Bahrain Polytechnic College requested, in a tender, the supply of 100 24-inch Apple iMac devices with specific requirements, and two companies competed for it, the lowest of which bid was 84 thousand dinars.
The National Revenue Agency also announced its desire to obtain the necessary technical advisory services to be able to effectively implement future digitization opportunities, so only one company submitted to the tender with a bid worth 798 thousand dinars.
Two companies competed for a tender for the Gulf Air group for price provision services through ATPCO – which publishes airline prices, and one bid was accepted, which was for 207 thousand dinars. Two bids were also frozen and one was accepted for the Gulf Air company’s tender for appointing a general sales agent via the Internet “GSA”. » For passenger sales in the Sultanate of Oman, with a bid of 106 thousand dinars, Bapco Refining Company also issued a tender to purchase a portable air compressor, and 7 companies applied for it, and it was less Bid amounting to 57 thousand dinars.
The Bahrain International Circuit stated that it would like to invite suppliers to submit bids for a major upgrade and improvement of the circuit’s hardware and software systems, as 4 companies submitted bids, the lowest of which was worth 134 thousand dinars, while 3 companies competed for the Information and e-Government Authority’s tender to provide a consultant for the technical solutions system. For Information Technology “ITSM”, the lowest bid was 29 thousand dinars.
The General Sports Authority also offered a tender to develop the offices on the eighth and eleventh floors of the authority’s headquarters, and 8 companies submitted to the tender with bids, the lowest of which was 99 thousand dinars.
In the health sector, 3 entities presented their tenders, as government hospitals asked companies to submit a project to renovate the switchboard offices in the Salmaniya Medical Complex, and 9 companies competed, the lowest bid among them was 27 thousand dinars. The Ministry of Health also requested maintenance of the ministry’s buildings, as 9 companies competed for the tender. The lowest bid among them was 30 thousand dinars, and the largest competition was for the primary health centers tender for supplying and installing modern medical devices within the medical device replacement plan, where 15 companies competed, and the lowest bid was A bid worth 35 thousand dinars.
