The White House: Gaza negotiations continue in Doha

The White House said that negotiations on Gaza are continuing in Doha, adding that it believes there is progress, but this does not mean that the mission is complete. He stated that the United States wants to reach an agreement on Gaza before the end of President Joe Biden’s term, stressing that Counselor Brett McGurk in Doha is participating in the talks. He claimed that the positions of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) make it difficult to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. He added that the Houthis’ recent operations show that they still have some military capabilities, pledging to continue weakening their capabilities as much as possible, according to his description. Speaking about Lebanon, he said that Washington is working through diplomatic channels to extend the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon beyond 60 days.
