المملكة: “Reef Saudi Arabia” announces the extension of one of its events due to the great demand

The “Reef Saudi Arabia” program announced the extension of the “Reef Ghee and Honey Village” event until next Thursday, which will be held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Exit 12 on the Eastern Ring Road.
This was explained by the Assistant Secretary General of the “Reef Saudi Arabia” Program for Media and Communication, Majed Al-Braikan, that the extension comes due to the demand for the event from visitors.

“Reef Ghee and Honey Village” event

He stated that the Reef Agricultural Village “Ghee and Honey” came to highlight the program’s efforts in supporting sustainable rural and agricultural development, enabling rural tourism, and highlighting the ghee and honey sector and value-added products from this sector.
This was done through an interactive exhibition highlighting inspiring success stories in the rural sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event witnessed the participation of beneficiaries from all over the Kingdom to display ghee and honey products.

Al-Braikan stressed that the “Reef Village” event comes to support farmers in marketing their products in the ghee and honey sector in the Kingdom, which is an important part of the agricultural and local production sector, and has great potential to add economic and cultural value.

Food heritage in Saudi Arabia

He added that ghee is part of the food heritage, and that the Kingdom is considered one of the leading countries in the production of natural honey thanks to the diversity of its geographical and climatic environments that contribute to the presence of different types of flowers.
The “Reef Saudi Arabia” program is affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and seeks to achieve environmental sustainability and diversify the agricultural production base in the Kingdom.
This is done by developing rural communities, contributing to achieving food security, in addition to providing job opportunities, improving the income and standard of living of small farmers, and enhancing their agricultural capabilities.

“Reef Village” event

About 6 days ago, the “Reef Village” event was launched in the presence of the Secretary-General of the “Saudi Countryside” program, Ghassan Bakri. The event aims to highlight the beauty of the Kingdom’s countryside and its abundant natural and cultural elements.
