Hamdan bin Mohammed directs the launch of the second season of "Al Fareej muezzin"

DUBAI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, directed the launch of the second season of the “Muezzin Al Freej” initiative with a new model that focuses on the role of the family. In strengthening national identity and social and Islamic values ​​among emerging generations.
His Highness also launched the “Qur’an in Every Home” initiative, with the aim of having a copy of the Holy Quran in all homes in the Emirate of Dubai, which enhances religious culture and facilitates access to copies of the Holy Quran.

The initiative also aims to motivate families and community members to recite the Holy Qur’an and contemplate its verses during the holy month of Ramadan, as the Qur’an will be distributed in a number of Dubai mosques that receive large numbers of worshipers.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed to double the number of mosques included in the “Farij Muezzin” initiative by 50%, with a focus on attracting children from the age group of 6-14 years, with the aim of strengthening their relationship with the mosques and encouraging them to participate in raising the call to prayer and performing Tarawih prayers. During the holy month of Ramadan, deepening their connection with mosques, His Highness stressed the importance of achieving the goals of the initiative. In its second season, which represents a new beginning for it, it contributes to increasing community participation and leaving a sustainable impact on the hearts of children.
These directives come within the framework of the vision of the wise leadership to enhance the role of the family in instilling national identity and social and Islamic values ​​in new generations, and urging them to go to mosques in the national dress of the UAE, which reflects their connection to their culture and national identity, and commitment to the general morals of mosques, in addition to promoting the values ​​of respect and cooperation. Among children of different ages, and supporting the societal role of mosques as centers of education, education and character building.
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, expressed his deep gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his support for the continuation of the “Al Freej Muezzin” initiative in its second season and with its new model in accordance with the directives of His Highness, which is in line with the goals of Dubai Social Agenda 33, which seeks to achieve families that are the happiest, most interconnected, tolerant and adherent to national values ​​and identity.
He pointed out that the initiative contributes to preparing a responsible generation capable of serving society, by strengthening children’s connection to mosques and showing the aesthetics of the call to prayer as a sincere call to goodness and worship, and enhancing community interaction by encouraging families to participate with their children in learning about the conditions for the call to prayer, expressing his optimism that the second season will contribute. In selecting promising talents that support the achievement of the initiative’s goals.
In addition, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai announced that registration for the initiative will begin on January 13, 2025, with the last date for receiving entries being February 7, 2025, while the stage of evaluating and sorting entries by the jury will begin on February 10, 2025.

The department explained that the entries will be evaluated based on a set of precise criteria to highlight the best and most distinguished voices in raising the call to prayer.
