29 thousand beneficiaries of the “Anti-Smoking” program in the Qassim Health Cluster

29,553 beneficiaries benefited from the “anti-smoking” program at the Qassim Health Cluster through awareness clinics and programs during the year 2024. The cluster explained that the anti-smoking clinics received 11,890 beneficiaries, and 295 people were able to quit smoking, and the number of beneficiaries from awareness activities and events reached 17,663 beneficiaries. The activities included exhibitions and awareness lectures in various governorates of the region, with the participation of schools And government agencies in public sites.

The “Ishraqa Community” initiative, which extended for the month of August of the same year, witnessed the reception of more than 3,027 individuals from various segments of society, providing them with advice and awareness programs and enabling them to benefit from anti-smoking programmes, in addition to raising the level of community awareness of the dangers of smoking and treating those wishing to quit it.

The association stated that the program participated in 565 awareness-raising events and exhibitions organized by the association throughout the year to enhance awareness of the harms of smoking and encourage quitting it, the most prominent of which is the “21 is Enough for You” campaign launched by the association during the holy month of Ramadan, from which 1,121 people benefited.

It is noteworthy that the program includes 29 specialized anti-smoking clinics distributed throughout the community’s components, and they achieved success and excellence during the year, which reflects the quality of services provided and the community’s efforts to protect the community from the dangers of smoking and support those who wish to quit it.
