DUBAI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai opened the second bridge as part of the work of the fourth phase of the Al Shindagha Corridor Development Project. This bridge serves traffic coming from the intersection of Al Mina Street with Sheikh Rashid Street and heading to the intersection of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street with Sheikh Rashid Road. .

The length of the bridge is 605 meters, with a capacity of two lanes and a capacity of 3,200 vehicles per hour. The fourth phase includes the implementation of four bridges with a total length of approximately 3.1 kilometers, with an estimated capacity of about 19,400 vehicles per hour for all lanes.

The Authority’s implementation of the Shindagha Axis development project represents a translation of the wise leadership’s directives towards keeping pace with the continuous development witnessed by the region located along the axis, and accommodating the needs of urban and population growth, by enhancing the road network and the flow of traffic in that region.

It is planned that during the second quarter of 2025, the implementation of the other bridge will be completed, which will serve traffic coming from Al Mina Street and heading to the intersection of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street with Sheikh Rashid Road, with a length of 1,210 meters, a capacity of three lanes, and a carrying capacity estimated at about 4,800 vehicles per hour. hour, as well as the completion of the implementation of the bridge, which will serve traffic coming from Al Mina Street and heading to Al Wasl Road, with a length of 780 metres, a capacity of three lanes and a carrying capacity estimated at About 4,800 vehicles per hour.
