Aboul Gheit: We care about everything related to Lebanon in the Arab League and the Arab world

 The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, confirmed that he is confident that many matters will move forward, in a very rapid manner and rhythm, which the Lebanese state has never witnessed in recent years.

Aboul Gheit said. During a press conference following his meeting today with Lebanese President-elect Joseph Aoun, and reported by the Lebanese News Agency, “Lebanon has special pride in the Arab world, and in my capacity as Secretary-General of the League of Nations, “We in the Arab League and in the Arab world care about everything related to Lebanon. I have deep respect for the personality of President Joseph Aoun, and confidence that many matters will move forward, in a very rapid manner and rhythm that the Lebanese state has never witnessed in recent years.”

 

Aboul Gheit expressed his hope that the Lebanese government would be formed quickly, extending an invitation to the Lebanese president-elect to visit the university. Arabic.

 

He added: " I extended an invitation to President Aoun to visit the Arab League and deliver a speech in the Council of Permanent Delegates, or in the League’s Council of Ministers, wishing success in the coming days, hoping that there will be a quick ministerial formation that responds to everything that is required of Lebanon, offering my congratulations to the Lebanese people, the Lebanese state, and to His Excellency the President personally.

For his part, he thanked Lebanese President Ahmed Aboul Gheit for his visit, appreciating the positions he always announces in support of Lebanon inside and outside the Arab League. Stressing that he will work in cooperation with everyone, for the sake of political stability in the country, which can only be achieved through the world’s confidence in Lebanon.

 

The meeting was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, and the head of the Center. The University in Beirut is Ambassador Abdel Rahman Al-Solh, the Director of the Levant Administration, Minister Plenipotentiary Lama Qassem, the official spokesman for the University, Minister Plenipotentiary Jamal Rashidi, and the Vice President of the Center in Beirut, Counselor Dr. Youssef. Al-Sabaawi.

 

Attended on the Lebanese side were the Director General of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Antoine Choucair, the Diplomatic Advisor, Ambassador Jean Murad, and the head of the Information Office of the Presidency, Rafik Shalala.
