After shocking news was circulated on social media platforms from an unknown artistic page, stating that Egyptian artist Menna Fadali had suffered an amputation in her leg, the star decided to break her silence.

Menna Fadali categorically denied what was circulated regarding her health condition, stressing that this obscure page only seeks to achieve views by publishing “fake” news.

She wrote on her Instagram account, attaching a picture of the news circulating around her, today, Monday: “I mean, when I wake up to news like this, what am I supposed to do? A strange, obscure page, and strange news as well! What nonsense and stupidity is this? Like this? From you to God.”

Menna Fadali’s post received support from her colleagues, as artist Rania Youssef commented, saying: God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. May evil be upon you, my love. While the artist Hassan Al-Raddad wrote: May God keep you away from all evil and grant you health.

On the other hand, a number of followers called for the necessity of taking legal measures against pages that publish fake news, considering that this type of news harms the reputation of artists, affects their personal and professional lives, and also harms the profession of journalism. (Arabic)
