The Civil Defense Office in the Philippines evacuated more than 46,000 people from several towns and cities, in the Bicol region, located on the Philippine island of Luzon, due to heavy rains.

A total of 7,858 families or 38,362 people are living in the 77 shelters, while 2,038 families or 8,777 people are staying with their relatives.
