DUBAI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, confirmed that the solar energy and storage battery project in Abu Dhabi, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” is an important step in the process of The UAE is moving towards expanding renewable energy projects and achieving climate neutrality in the UAE by 2050.

Her Excellency added that the project provides more opportunities for future generations, as a result of increased investment in clean and renewable energy systems and meeting the growing demand for energy in a sustainable manner, which paves the way for the transformation of various vital economic sectors, enhancing the green economy and driving sustainable economic development, stressing the continuation of work with support. The wise leadership, with all relevant authorities in the country, to implement the plans and strategies established to bring about a real transformation towards sustainable, climate-smart systems that carry hope for a bright and more prosperous tomorrow for all.
