A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in localizing the energy sector supply chains

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones “Modon” and the “Iktva” Program signed a memorandum of understanding, aiming to enhance cooperation in the localization of energy sector supply chains and raise the percentage of local content in the oil and gas industries in order to achieve the goals of the National Strategy for Industry and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
This came during “Modon’s” participation in a pavilion in the “Iktva 2025” Forum and Exhibition, organized by Saudi Aramco during the period 13-16 January at the Dhahran Expo under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, in an effort to highlight Highlighting the industrial and logistical capabilities and the role of industrial cities in enhancing local content.

Allocating industrial land

“Modon” allocated industrial land in the Second Industrial City in Dammam, with an area of ​​25 thousand square meters, for the benefit of Alma Arabia Company, to invest more than 450 million riyals in the field of localizing the pipe and flange industry and its maintenance, while exporting 30-50% of the production volume.
“Modon” concluded a contract to expand the existing Arab Iron and Pipe Forming Corporation factory on an area exceeding 5,000 square meters, with the aim of investing 50 million riyals in launching a new industrial product that focuses on reshaping primary products for the manufacture of drill bits.
“Modon” focuses on providing developmental and enabling solutions in the energy sector by adopting best practices to enhance the competitiveness of facilities, creating investment opportunities in projects to improve energy efficiency, and operational improvement of production inputs through coordination with various relevant parties.
“Modon” plays a major role in localizing energy supply chains, as the industrial cities include a group of the largest and most prestigious local and international companies, including the first specialized factory in the Middle East working in the manufacture of combustion equipment for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, in a way that supports business sustainability.
“Modon” hosts 550 local and international factories that support the sustainability of energy supply chains and enhance the value chain with products that contribute to the development of local content and national exports.
