Egyptian short film "I miss you" Competing in the Emirates Film Festival

The young director and screenwriter Omar Ashraf said that his short fiction film, “I Miss You,” was selected to participate in the eleventh session of the Emirates Film Festival, scheduled to be held in Dubai, from January 15 to 18.

Omar Ashraf, the film’s director, explained that the film will be shown tomorrow, Thursday, on the list of films competing in the official Arab Film Competition, which includes films from Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia. Algeria, Mauritania and Syria, expressing his great happiness with this participation, as it is the first internationally for the film.

 

He pointed out that "I miss you" It is a short narrative film produced in 2024, and its events revolve around a young man who wakes up one day feeling frustrated and sad and finds nothing to do but go to his mother, but will he feel comfortable? Omar Ashraf is a young Egyptian director, author, and actor. He directed a number of short films while studying at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. Among these films is "Dream" In 2020, he participated in the seventh session of the Emirates Short Film Festival, and the film “Coincidence” In 2021, he won two awards for best director and film in the Short Film Competition at Cairo University, and he also received a certificate of appreciation from the “tres court” festival.
