24 fighters participate in "Heroes’ Road to Dubai"

DUBAI, 15 JANUARY / WAM / The organizing committee of the “Way of Champions to Dubai” tournament announced the completion of all preparations for holding the tournament, which will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on January 25, with the participation of 24 fighters from 13 countries, led by the UAE.

The tournament is organized by the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in cooperation with the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and the Dubai Sports Council, as part of a partnership aimed at strengthening Dubai’s position as a global sports capital.
This came during the press conference held by the organizing committee today, in the presence of a group of fighters participating in the tournament, led by Irishman Paul Hughes, who is competing in the main fight against the Russian champion, Usman Nurmagomedov.
The “Champions Road to Dubai” tournament is a new stage in the sport of mixed martial arts in the region, and represents a platform for developing young Emirati talents and introducing them to the world of international competitions.
Hughes confirmed that he is looking forward to adding a new victory to his record of 13 victories against only one loss, while his competitor has a perfect record of 18 victories without any loss.
The tournament also witnesses a number of strong fights, as the Emirati Hadi Omar Al-Husseini meets the Filipino Ruel Banales, the Egyptian Ahmed Sami meets the Syrian Tariq Suleiman, the Irishman Nathan Kelly meets the Russian Hassan Magomicharipov, the Saudi Mustafa Nada meets the Pakistani-British Haider Khan, and others.
