The Speaker of the Arab Parliament welcomes reaching a ceasefire in Gaza

His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, expressed his great welcome to the announcement of reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Yamahi considered, in a statement issued this evening, that this step represents an important development towards ending the war of genocide and the military escalation that claimed the lives of thousands of innocent people and caused great human suffering to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

He called on all parties to fully adhere to the terms of the agreement, and to continue working on calm to avoid any new escalation, stressing the need to respect international humanitarian laws, protect civilians, and ensure that urgent humanitarian aid reaches those affected in the Gaza Strip.
